Who Are We?
The American Association of Osteopathic Manual Practitioners is a self governing body established to advance the osteopathic manual practice profession, and to aid in the health and wellness of all those who seek to improve their overall quality of life.
While promoting the profession, the Association aims to ensure the finest quality of care, professionalism and ethical conduct is provided to patients within the United States, and that its members adhere to its standards of practice and code of ethics. AAOMP promotes the highest standard of patient care, contributing to the overall health and well-being of all.
On behalf of its members, AAOMPS lobbies for pro-osteopathic manual practice legislation and policies which promote a positive public image of certified osteopathic manual practitioners, support research within the field, and offers leadership in the advancement of the profession.
The American Association of Osteopathic Manual Practitioners sets requirements for entry to the osteopathic manual practice profession for its members, registers certified osteopathic manual practitioners, & sets standards of practice and guidelines for the professional practice of the profession to be applied both domestically.
