Certified Osteopathic Manual Practitioner - Regulated Practicing Member

All Domestic Osteopathic Manual Practitioners who have passed the National Board Exam

Cost - $400.00 - USD - Per Annum

 

To obtain membership members must meet all educational and exam requirements set forth by AAOMP, AOMPEB and UCOPME. This category is for those who: currently holds the COMP credential, have graduated from a school accredited by the UCOMPE and plan to take the AOMPEB exam within 60 days of graduation. To obtain the COMP credential, an applicant must have graduated from a school accredited by the UCOMPE, and pass the written and practical exams administered by AOMPEB. COMP regulated members may vote on association matters.

Non-US Based COMP - Regulated Practicing Member

All International Osteopathic Manual Practitioners who have passed the National Board Exam

Cost - $400.00 - USD - Per Annum

 

To obtain membership members must meet all educational and exam requirements set forth by AAOMP, AOMPEB and UCOPME. At this time, AAOMPS does not guarantee employment in the US with the utilization of the COMP certification or the AAOMPS membership. This does not allow the practitioner to work in the US, further information on this will follow. To obtain the COMP credential, an applicant must have graduated from a school accredited by the UCOMPE, and pass the written and practical exams administered by AOMPEB.International COMP regulated members may not vote on association matters.

Career Starter - Regulated Practicing Member

All Osteopathic Manual Practitioners (domestic and international) who have passed the National Board Exam

Cost - $250.00 - US and International Certified Practitioners - First Calendar Year

 

A newly Certified Practitioners (graduation dates prior to Aug 2017 must register as a regulated practicing member). To obtain membership members must meet all educational and exam requirements set forth by AAOMP, AOMPEB and UCOPME. To obtain the COMP credential, an applicant must have graduated from a school accredited by the UCOMPE, and pass the written and practical exams administered by AOMPEB. Certified Regulated Practicing Members will receive a reduction in dues for the first full billing cycle following certification. Upon annual renewal, the Career Starter membership will automatically transfer to a Certified Regulated Practicing Member status at full price. Career Starter members may vote on association matters.

Non-Practicing Student Membership

 

Non-Certified Student*

 

Cost - $150.00 - USD - Per Annum

 

An individual enrolled as a full-time undergraduate or graduate student enrolled in a college or university approved by the UCOPME and who plan to sit for the AOMPEB national board exam upon completion of studies. Upon graduation, student membership may be transferred to a Career Starter membership, for the first calendar year. Non-certified Student members may not vote on association matters.

        *AAOMPS requires current student members that would like to apply for membership category  ‘Non-Certified Student’ to provide proof of full time enrollment in a AAOMPS approved program annually. If you will be a full-time student for the current semester, please provide proof of your enrollment by submitting one of the acceptable verifications: 

​

• Official Transcript – This must show you are enrolled as a full time student for the current semester.

• Letter from the registrar's office  - The letter must include your full name and state that you are a full time student for the current semester. This letter must be on the institution's letterhead, signed by the registrar and be dated within 30 days.

AAOMPS International Association Membership 

 

International Practicing Members - Non-Certified

Cost - $300.00 - USD - Per Annum 

 

If an international practitioner is unable to sit for the US based practical exam, he/she will be awarded a Non-US based Practicing Association number. This does not allow the practitioner to work in the US nor allow the practitioner to utilize the COMP title. Those members who wish to obtain AAOMPS membership under this category, must meet all educational requirements set forth by AAOMPS and UCOPME (see education requirements). This association number will show distinction between COMP - US Based and International practitioners, as Non-Certified members shall not use, nor report under a COMP certification number issued by AAOMPS. Any international member who wishes to use the title COMP (full practicing member) may do so after fulfilling all requirements set forth by AAOMPS and UCOPME.
